Notre Dame

A small, timeless etching of Notre Dame in Paris, France. Don't you just love an old etching? The dark cross hatching, the shadowy smudges, the weathered paper- turned a perfect caramel colour- that offsets the shadowy hatchings all the better? Well, when it comes to etchings, this is one of the good ones! A cloudy sky, long shadows and that famous cathedral in Paris.

Description
Etching on paper. Print is set in a clean matte and simple, wood frame. No signature.

Measurements (incl frame): 8.75 x 10.75 x 0.5 inches; 22 x 27 x 1 cm
 
Condition
Great overall condition. Paper has taken on a warm colour with time; both the etching and the matte are clean, no marks, no mold, no staining. Matte appears to be ever so slightly crooked in the frame. Frame can be opened from the back if you would like, for now I've chosen to leave it as is.

I do my best to take pictures that truly represent the painting as it is. Photos are taken in natural light and from different angles so that you can see the true colour, texture and overall condition of the painting. I do my very best to note and photograph these conditions but you should only purchase if you are absolutely sure about an item!
