For the love of old stuff

Hi, I'm Shayda, an artist and YouTube content creator. I love old things, and that is quite obvious to anyone who might enter my home. I decorate with antiques and with all sorts of thrifted and found objects. My goal is to create living spaces that look perfectly pieced together, an old leather chair, a shabby oil painting, an industrial light, and a soft linen pillow; these time-worn, unique objects all work together to tell a story.

I take a lot of pleasure in sorting through trash so that you can easily nab your perfect treasure. That one-of-a-kind, conversation-piece, 'oh-my-god-where-did-you-get-that?', put-it-on-the-mantle-and-smile-every-time-you-walk-by-it, treasure. Your home deserves a few of those! And if you love art like I do, you'll be happy to know I've used my artist's eye to source the loveliest (and most interesting!) antique paintings. Why hang a print when you can enjoy a real piece of art?

 

And here's a note to all my kindred spirits: you are not builder beige, you are old wallpaper made cool again! You are not HomeSense prints, you are original oil paintings with delightful little cracks in the layers of aging paint! You are not particle board, ready-to-assemble furniture, you are worn pine with square nails, familiar marks and sturdy, solid legs; legs that will surely last another 100 years!
